If you are driving through to Bosnia for just a pit shop, there are my tips for some of the Must-Visit sites.
Mostar is the iconic stop for Bosnia, which is known for the Mostar Bridge that is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The bridge use to be the only connection between the Croats and Muslim sides of the town. The city was in a civil war till recent years, ended in 1995. As of today, I could still see bullet holes covering on almost every single building throughout the city. The old town part of the cities is filled with war graffiti and ruined buildings from the civil war. Mostar is the city been tired to the histories of the diverse empires that subjugated its territory all the way from medieval period to present.
Although I arrived Bosnia on a raining, I was pretty lucky to see a warm sunny day the following day. The city has its charm either in the rain of under the sun. It just couldn’t stop admiring how pretty it is.
If you love the Plitvice waterfall in Croatia and got told not to jump in, then you have to visit the Kravice water in Bosnia, simply because you will enjoy the view and the swim from the waterfall!
